If you had a tank system, you could fit a hot water secondary return, which pumps water around a circuit on a timer so that hot water is ready to be used during times you have specified.

You cold have a 28mm from the tank, tee, drop to 22mm to both sides of the pump. On the outlet side have a small manifold of 28mm and tee off the supply to the combi and tees off the cold to the others.

Modern combi-boilers are fed directly from the mains thus do not require a cold water tank. Having a cold water tank gives a reserve supply should the water supply be disrupted and also helps even out demand on the mains water during peak demand.

By manifold I was using a generic term for a main supply ie the run of 22mm pipe which all the rads tee off of. I am not using a microbore system.

The water from all hot water taps is very hot apart from the hot water tap on the bath/shower mixer unit, which only gets luke warm. If you have any cold taps which are tank fed, this needs to be re-routed to pick up the cold mains supply somewhere, and agaim make sure any fill or vent pipes are removed and capped off.
